You are not perennial

Site-specific, 2013
Mutuca Residency (RAM) , Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

This ephemeral installation is about the extractivism and the balance-unbalance binomial.

Biodegradable plastic objects with human morphology floated on a river, where erosion from water, sun and wind were the responsible for collecting energy from dirty water, through electronic devices put inside. Energy was used as a signal to activate a lighting system located in the bowels of the dolls, generating the overheating of the bioplastic material and the consequent acceleration of their decomposition. The more energy collected (extraction of natural resources), the faster is the degradation speed of objects (men symbols).
